What is contractor website design?
Contractor website design is building a website around how people actually hire a trade business. Someone has a problem, searches on a phone, opens two or three results and calls the one that looks real and answers their questions fastest. A good contractor website is built for that moment: clear services, real photos, the area you cover and a phone number that is always one tap away.
That is different from a general business website. A contractor site does not need a blog nobody reads or a long company story. It needs to prove you do the work, show where you do it and make calling you the easiest thing on the page.
What pages does a contractor website need?
Most trade businesses do well with five to eight pages. Each one has a job:
- Home. What you do, where you do it and how to reach you, visible without scrolling.
- One page per main service. A roofer who also does gutters needs two pages, because people search for those jobs separately.
- Service area. The towns and counties you really cover, so Google can match you to local searches.
- Gallery or projects. Before and after photos from your own jobs.
- About. Who owns the business, how long you have been at it, license and insurance if you have them.
- Contact. Phone, quote form, hours and a map of your area.

How the build works
- You send your Facebook page or current site. That is usually all we need to start.
- We build a free preview. A real, clickable version of your site with your photos and services.
- You review it. If you like it, you pick a plan and pay once. If you do not, you owe nothing.
- We finish and launch. We connect your domain, set up the quote form and submit the site to Google. Most full websites are live within 7 business days of payment.
The full process is on the how it works page.
Full website or landing page?
Both are built the same way and both are yours. The difference is how much Google has to work with.
| Landing page | Full website |
| Pages | 1 | Up to 8 |
| Best for | One main service, ads, a Facebook following | Several services, ranking in local search |
| Local SEO setup | Basic titles and schema | A page per service plus Search Console |
| Included maintenance | 6 months | 1 year |
| Time to launch | 3 business days | 7 business days |
| Founding price | $100 (regular $199) | $500 (regular $899) |
If you offer more than two services or want to show up for searches in several towns, the full website is the better fit. A longer comparison is in landing page or full website.
